Why thereis no luck

Stop waiting for confidence. Start building it.

Why I started WTINL

Mihail Mihovski on where the movement came from, and who it’s for.

Confidence is built, not given.

Every morning you choose to start is a brick. Every promise you keep to yourself is another. Stack enough of them and you stop needing anyone to tell you who you are.

The WTINL code

Five principles. One for every letter. Live them daily and luck stops being something you wait for.

Take action towards your goals.

Intentions are free. Progress is paid for in hours. Pick the one thing that moves your life forward and give it your best hour before the world asks for anything else.

  • One focused hour on your main goal
  • Finish before you start something new
  • Choose the task you keep avoiding
Principle 1 of 5

Build physical and mental discipline.

The body keeps the promises the mind makes. Every session is a vote for the person you are becoming — someone who does hard things when nobody is watching.

  • 30–60 minutes of movement
  • Wake up with intent, not a screen
  • Keep going one rep after you want to stop
Principle 2 of 5
Hands holding an open book in low light

Develop your knowledge and abilities.

Ten pages a day is 3,650 pages a year. Small inputs, compounded, become a different mind. Stay a student of your craft and of yourself.

  • Read ten pages
  • Practise one valuable skill
  • Write down what you learned
Principle 3 of 5

Connect with others and build relationships.

Nobody builds alone. Confidence grows in rooms where people expect more of you. Start the conversation you would normally avoid.

  • Start one real conversation
  • Reach out to someone you admire
  • Show up where your people are
Principle 4 of 5

Inspire others through your actions.

Leadership is not a title. It is what people see you do when it would be easier not to. Go first, and make the path easier for whoever follows.

  • Help or encourage one person
  • Do one thing outside your comfort zone
  • Keep your word, especially in small things
Principle 5 of 5

One percent, every day

Day0

You, multiplied1.00×

Improve by one percent a day and in a year you are 37.8 times where you started. That isn’t luck. It’s arithmetic.

A reason to come back tomorrow

Your dashboard shows what you have built, not what you missed. Streaks forgive a bad day. Totals never reset.
